Parenting Support
As humans, we are wired for connection, support, and co-regulation. Parenting was never meant to be done in isolation, yet so many parents carry the pressure of having to “hold it all together” on their own.
Seeking support for yourself is not a sign of failure — it is an act of care, courage, and responsibility. When parents begin to understand their own emotional world, patterns, and nervous system responses, it creates space for healthier and more connected relationships with their children.
Children do not need perfect parents. They need parents who are willing to reflect, repair, grow, and remain emotionally present, even in difficult moments.
Parenting can awaken parts of ourselves we did not expect — old wounds, emotional triggers, self-doubt, overwhelm, and exhaustion. At times, this can leave families feeling stuck in cycles of conflict, disconnection, or misunderstanding.
Through greater awareness, emotional regulation, and self-compassion, it becomes possible to respond rather than react, strengthen connection, and create a calmer and more secure environment for both you and your child.
The relationship we build with our children is shaped not only through what we do, but through how safe, seen, and understood they feel with us. And often, that journey begins with learning how to offer those same things to ourselves.
Therapy for Parents
Therapy offers a deeper and more personalised space to explore the emotional patterns, experiences, and triggers that may become activated in parenting and relationships.
Many parents find that raising children brings unresolved experiences to the surface — including difficulties around emotional regulation, self-worth, attachment, boundaries, anxiety, overwhelm, or feeling emotionally disconnected from themselves and others. In therapy, we work together to develop greater self-awareness, emotio
nal safety, and understanding of the patterns that may be shaping your reactions and relationships. This can support you in responding more intentionally, strengthening connection with your child, and building a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Sessions are tailored to your individual needs and can provide support with:
Parenting triggers and reactivity Emotional regulation Anxiety and overwhelm Attachment and relationship difficulties Stress and burnout Self-compassion and self-worth Intergenerational patterns and reparenting work
Coaching Sessions
For parents currently completing the Reparent Yourself program, I also offer optional 30-minute coaching support sessions.
These sessions are designed to help parents reflect on and integrate the concepts from the program into everyday life, while offering guidance, accountability, and support throughout the process.
Coaching sessions may help with:
Applying tools and strategies from the program
Reflecting on parenting challenges
Strengthening emotional awareness
Building consistency with self-regulation practices
Navigating obstacles that arise during the process
Please note that coaching sessions are supportive and educational in nature and do not constitute psychological therapy.
